What follows is a journey through various insights. What is first important is that you understand that the words are not teachings, and nor am I a teacher. On that note, I’ll start with one of my favourites, which I wrote a number of years ago. Press the next button to advance to the next writing.

There are no Teachings, and no Teachers!

A Zen master once visited London, a bustling and vibrant city, colourful and noisy, seemingly not conducive to meditative states. There, he met with a student. Raising their voices, they exchanged pleasantries over the top of the noisy traffic as they walked towards a road.

At that moment, raising his voice, the student asked the Master, “Master, how can I possibly do Zen in the city?”

Having not received a reply, the student turned towards the Zen master, only to find his innards strewn 30 feet along the road.
